This new cabinet-level agency brings together programs centered on children and families, including child care and early learning, child support, child safety and permanency, economic support and food assistance, and youth opportunity. This position will become a part of DCYF. Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) (Within Minnesota or neighboring states) and flexible hours options are available .Travel is possible for up to 30% of the time throughout the state to deliver trainings.As an Instructional Design Trainer, you will develop and provide training to enable county, tribal and state staff to accurately interpret and apply policy while efficiently using computer systems. Development of training curriculum requires strong ability to both analyze and interpret legislation and other policy direction and computer system specifications and reduce this complex information to clear and concise instructions. Trainers must also be able to present this information in a manner that meets the learning needs of a diverse population.Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

As part of a team, design and develop integrated computer system and policy training presentation materials that adequately reflect policy and system requirements for eligibility determination and meet the needs of DHS customers.

Conduct integrated computer system and policy training.

Develop professional and technical skills in understanding and using the MAXIS and MEC systems, income maintenance program policies, and training techniques designed to meet the needs of adult learners.

Develop, maintain and administer online learning.

Minimum QualificationsTo facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.Two (2) years of experience determining eligibility in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, cash assistance programs, and/or the Child Care Assistance Program. This two year' experience must be within the last three years. Experience must demonstrate:

Developing and/or presenting training materials.

Use and knowledge of eligibility systems such as MAXIS and MEC2 systems.

A Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, Business Administration or related field may substitute for 1 year of professional experiencePreferred Qualifications

A strong understanding of county/tribal agency operations and case management procedures as well as a general understanding of the roles of county, tribes, state and federal agencies.

Coordinating and overseeing the development and maintenance of curricula with individual curriculum developers / teams.

Experience in analysis of training content.

Designing integrated policy and systems training.

Knowledge of State programs and MAXIS and MEC systems.

Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
