This new cabinet-level agency brings together programs centered on children and families, including child care and early learning, child support, child safety and permanency, economic support and food assistance, and youth opportunity. This position will become a part of DCYF. Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) (Within Minnesota or neighboring states) and flexible hours options are available .The Lead Quality Control Worker will provide Quality Control evaluation, analysis, and performance improvement for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This position is one of two Lead staff to focus on SNAP Quality Control operations with the goal of improving SNAP performance, avoiding federal sanctions, and assisting the Department of Human Services (DHS) in earning performance bonuses. The person in this position must have sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to evaluate SNAP Quality Control operations as they pertain to income maintenance programs and to improve the administration of the SNAP Quality Control. This position has extensive freedom to act and requires the ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate information and the ability to determine alternate solutions for better management of SNAP Quality Control. Job functions include ongoing SNAP Quality Control assessments of performance both statewide and at the county level, and feeds into the overall statewide SNAP corrective action plan.Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

Conduct SNAP quality control second party reviews.

Participate in SNAP QC review and related meetings.

Assist DHS and counties and Tribes with analysis regarding SNAP Quality Control concerns.

Analyze SNAP-QC review findings for each county and on a statewide basis to determine trends and individual county deficiencies.

Develop, implement and monitor strategies to address SNAP quality control errors.

Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to quality control reviewers driven by findings of second party case reviews conducted by lead staff.

Minimum QualificationsTo facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.Three (3) years of professional experience with SNAP/Food Programs. Experience must demonstrate:

Knowledge and understanding of SNAP policy, along with the laws and regulations which govern its operation sufficient to review case files to identify policy, procedural, or customer service errors or issue.

Working with eligibility systems such as MAXIS.

Lead Worker experience in a human services field.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work with diverse groups and multitask.

Ability to lead a team: skills in project planning and priority setting; assigning work and ensuring its completion; identifying and soliciting needed resources.

Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to be flexible and bring creative solutions to unique problems regarding SNAP Quality Control

Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
