Consisting of eight departments and 10 centers our college is a leader in research, teaching, and community engagement. Over 4,800 undergraduate students and 700 Masters and Ph.D. candidates pursue degrees within our departments, and are taught by over 200 faculty.Position SummaryThe Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator for the College of Natural Sciences ( CNS ) will play a critical role in providing guidance to prospective students, their families, and other support networks as they navigate the admissions process at Colorado State University. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the CSU Office of Admissions, CNS departments, and other campus partners to represent the academic majors, programs, and extra- and co-curricular opportunities in the CNS . The Coordinator should demonstrate a passion for communicating with a variety of audiences across multiple platforms and a commitment to meeting prospective students with information that is current, relevant, and appropriate for the various stages of the admissions process. The range of experiences of prospective students is broad and a successful candidate must embrace CSU’s and CNS’s commitment to removing barriers to access to higher education in all aspects of their work.This position will have the flexibility for hybrid work with some remote and some in-person with the understanding that in-person meetings and events will be required.A signing bonus of up to $2,500 may be considered for successful candidates. Please note, internal applicants are not eligible for signing bonuses.Required Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or a High School Diploma (or GED ) plus 4-years of experience in higher education, in lieu of degree

Previous professional or student leadership/employment experience in admissions, college counseling, advising, or related area

Preferred Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in a STEM field, communications, or marketing.

Experience promoting access to or participation in ALL STEM disciplines

Professional or student employment experience in higher education with student engagement

Experience communicating with many different constituencies across different platforms and in different circumstances (e.g., one-on-one, in-person visits with students and families; public presentations to large groups of people)

Experience leading, supervising, or managing teams

Event planning or campus visit programming experience

Record of work experience demonstrating an ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Experience creating engaging social media content for high-school and college-aged students

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish

Essential DutiesJob Duty CategoryRecruiting: Manage all CNS recruitment events for the College of Natural SciencesDuty/Responsibility

Coordinate with CSU’s Office of Admissions to represent the CNS at Admissions-led events. Develop or organize engaging, interactive, and developmentally-appropriate opportunities for these events (e.g., info sessions, tours, students panels). Collaborate with other colleges, as appropriate, to create presentations or experiences to guide exploring prospective students and families in their selection of a STEM major.

Act as first point of contact for prospective students and families contacting the college with inquiries regarding the admissions process.

Provide prospective students and families opportunities to get their questions answered about CNS majors, disciplines, and potential careers. This may include scheduling personalized campus visits and coordination with CNS departments and/or other campus units/offices.

Coordinate with CNS units to showcase co-curricular opportunities in the CNS (e.g. Amplify learning communities).

Develop and manage systems to track and report recruitment efforts.

Develop, implement, and evaluate annual strategy to reach targeted student populations for on-campus visit programs, with a lens of equity and equitable access to recruiting information.

Work with departments to understand annual recruitment goals based on college and university targets.

Provide guidance to departments on recruitment best practices. Support the development of new recruitment events with departments, aligned with departmental goals and keeping up with national best practices.

Coordinate with Admissions on CNS representation at summer programs

Coordinate with departmental outreach efforts (e.g. Math Circles) to encourage a communication plan that maintains contact with students through the Admissions process.

Participate in Office of Admissions college recruiter meetings, providing CNS perspective to Admissions and disseminating Admissions activities back to relevant CNS stakeholders.
