Job Title: Shop Helper
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Requirements:
Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up the following:
Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including:
Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Demonstrated attention to detail
Knowledge of hand tool operation
Must be mechanically inclined
Current experience or ability to learn essential duties of a General Laborer
Ability to learn complete working knowledge of PPM Tech products, processes and procedures
Ability to learn to read/interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD, blueprints, etc.)
Ability to be resourceful in looking for solutions to overcome any issue
Must be able to lift 60 lbs. comfortably and repeatedly be able to stand, bend, stoop without restriction for long periods
Must show good initiative, organization and follow-through.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous production experience in a manufacturing plant preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
