Primary Job Function
This entry-level position assists in any or all phases of fabrication, assembly and finishing, providing the employee with the opportunity to learn specialized skills and transition to more advanced job positions.
Note: This position operates on Day Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follows department standard operating procedures.
Typically works as needed in various work areas:
Shear
Deburr
Hardware
Tap/Drill/Countersink
CNC Punch
Shaking parts/loading blanks/deburr
Manual 30/30
Punch; pre-setup machine
Forming; pre-setup machine,
Deburr/DA/Grind/Grain to cosmetic finishes
Mask/Unmask
Load/Unload baskets and racks
Assists in Assembly and Packaging
Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment
Keeps work area clean and organized
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably.
Basic math and measurement skills
Blueprint reading skills a plus
Strong hand/eye coordination
Strong desire to learn assigned operations
Hand truck operation
Pallet-jack operation
Strong attention to detail
Dependability; honesty & integrity; a positive, proactive attitude; ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.
Ability to work overtime as required
