Reports to Central Youth Services Manager
20 hours per week
$19.51 per hour
Position is open until filled
What You’d Do
Enthusiastically provide reference, information, community referral, reader's advisory and other basic library services to Central Youth Services customers
Actively participate in collection maintenance
Assist in the creation and posting of content for the Library's youth web pages and social media sites
Participate in system-wide programs for youth as a member of the Library's Youth and Family Engagement Department
You Need
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of children's and young adult literature and youth services
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to organize work effectively
Intermediate computer skills
Ability to speak and understand English is required. Additional consideration may be given to individuals that are fluent in any non-English languages spoken in the Kansas City area including Somali, Swahili, Spanish, Arabic, French, Dari, Pashto, and Vietnamese.

Sat 1pm-5pm
