ApplytheprovisionsofMinnesotaStatutes340AandMinnesotaRule7515inresponse to variedinquiresandrequestsfromclienteleasitrelatestoliquorlicensing,enforcement,andregulation.

Providetechnicalandeducational assistance and expertisetotheliquor industryandtheirassociationsinthe liquorlicenseprocess,taxandcreditdelinquencymatters,DramShopinsuranceandworkerscompensationinsurance.

Distribute, process and prepare incoming and outgoing mail.

Prepare daily deposits by processing all cash and checks from civil fines, licenses, and permit fees.

Approveordenyvariousretailliquorlicensesandprovidesolutions to resolvedeficienciesanddiscrepancies which occuratthelocallevel.

Requestandcollectinformationfrommunicipalliquorstorestoinsurecompliance withprovisionsofliquorlaws.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to keyboard/type a variety of documents accurately at 55 words per minute, with 10 or less errors. Applicants invited to an interview will be required to provide proof of passing a 5-minute typing test. The test must have been completed in the last 12-months.

Ability to communicate with others and understand information; read, write and respond to customers in fluent English

Ability to use customer skills on the phone, in person, and online to advise customers of licensing procedures, regulations and laws.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Data entry skills sufficient to enter data onto paper forms and computer entry screens; and experience with basic office equipment and internet

Math skills sufficient to maintain complete and accurate cash receipt records and balance and resolve discrepancies.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a regulatory or licensing position.

Previous experience which demonstrates time management, multi-tasking, problem solving and organizational skills.

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, and data entry.

Experience with understanding moderately complex statutes and laws and communicating those in an understandable manner as an expert resource for outside agencies and individuals.

Previous experience with high volume customer contact in person, via phone, and email.

Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities

Physical RequirementsRequires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others, and moving and transporting light objects frequently.
