This position reports to the Director of DVM Student Services in collaboration with the faculty Assistant Department Head for DVM Teaching ( ADH ).Required Job Qualifications

Two years of professional experience in program coordination, academic administration, or a similar role involving scheduling, data management, or student support.
Proven experience working effectively with diverse groups, such as students, faculty, staff, or external partners, in a professional setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or other database management systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in student advising or academic program management.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Advanced training or degree in education, veterinary sciences, public or business administration.
Experience in veterinary education, healthcare education or clinical academic settings.
Familiarity with academic scheduling systems and platforms used in higher education or clinical rotations.

Advises and guides in developing and maintaining accurate records of the DVM student clinical rotations offered in conjunction with the ADH .
Creates and oversees 3rd and 4th year DVM student clinical rotation schedules.
Oversee up to 20 incoming non- CSU (e.g. Ross, SGU ) students including planning and implementation of schedule and orientations.
Advises and collaborates with IT to develop and maintain the scheduling programs for practicum scheduling.
Coordinates 3rd and 4th year practicum clinical rotation additions, changes and deletions from the program in accordance with decisions of the DVM Curriculum Committee.
Oversees and manages EPA and student assessment programs, including management of student, faculty, resident and intern evaluations. Plan and maintain changes to systems, including setting up workflow and inputting faculty assignments to clinical rotations.
Maintains and updates the faculty reporting of time commitment on the SCAIT program for the DVM 3 Year (VM786A) and 4th Year (VM786B) courses.
Consults and collaborates with the Program Effectiveness Coordinator to develop and improve systems and procedures to enact improvement in the DVM program.
Retrieves data in accordance with reporting (e.g. AVMA interim report) or program outcomes needs.

Advises and consults with faculty, the ADH , and the AD regarding DVM 3rd and 4th year practicum processes, including policy development relevant to grievance processes and practicums
Ensures that updated rotations descriptions are posted on the DVM Student website.
Coordinates and communicates with 3rd and 4th year clinical rotation faculty to ensure that DVM student evaluations and grades are correctly submitted in a timely manner.
Provides reports to the section heads quarterly and reports relevant student feedback to the ADH and/or AD.
Consults and collaborates with the AD regarding any academic difficulties experienced by DVM students in 3rd and 4th year practicum clinical rotations.
Serves as a contributing member of the DVM Services Team.
Collects and provides student data relevant to regulatory requirements including annual AVMA reports and accreditation.
Manages the CVMBS visitor program through the Veterinary Teaching Hospital for non- CSU Foreign & Domestic Veterinary Students not limited to 30-75 visitors per year.
Promotes and supports student activities including developing and strengthening relationships with student bodies, faculty and staff

Oversees and manages the planning and implementation of DVM 3rd and 4th year orientation.
Organizes and implements UAF student orientation prior to the start of the third year.
Oversees and manages the planning of DVM 4th year hooding and commencement exercises in partnership with the graduation coordinator.
Coordinates the selection and distribution of 4th year awards and honors
Assists in coordination of weekly Grand Rounds, creates a yearly schedule for DVM students presentation, requests annual updates to documents, and posts updated documents for students.
