The Bar Back will help maintain a clean and well-stocked bar area, assist with minor repairs, and ensure the bar operates smoothly. You’ll join a culinary and front of house team that's dedicated to creating a destination dining experience centered around regionally-sourced, healthy, quality foods that honor both the land and local farmers.

Key Responsibilities:
Bar Maintenance & Stocking:
Maintain inventory of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies
Stock and rotate coolers, manage liquor storage room
Monitor and change kegs, maintain draft system
Clean and organize glassware, equipment, and bar areas
Prepare garnishes and maintain fresh ingredient stations
Service Support:
Assist bartenders during peak periods
Maintain glass supply and ice levels
Monitor stock levels during service
Process basic POS transactions as needed
Support special events and busy periods
Communicate with Customers: Answer customer questions, handle complaints, and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the bar area clean by wiping down surfaces, removing spills, and emptying trash receptacles.
Opening Duties:
Arrive on Time: Be ready to work when the shift begins.
Stock bar with necessary supplies
Prepare garnishes and fill ice wells
Check equipment functionality
Clean and organize bar area
Closing Duties:
Clean Bar Area: Thoroughly clean the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, and scrubbing coolers and storage areas.
Restock Supplies: Restock bar supplies and ensure everything is ready for the next shift.
Check Equipment: Ensure all equipment is in good working order and make any necessary repairs.
Count Inventory: Count inventory and prepare for the next day's service.
Thank Customers: Greet customers upon their departure and invite them to return.
Requirements:
21+ years of age
Physical ability to lift 50lbs and work long periods
Knowledge of draft systems preferred
Available evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong organization and multitasking skills
Team-oriented with good communication
Food handler's certification (or ability to obtain)
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with variable schedules.
