NorCal Voice & Data is looking for skilled low voltage technicians in the Bay Area! Earn good money in a thriving trade with explosive potential for growth. In our hyper-connected world, everything needs to talk to everything else, so someone has to wire them all together. That’s us. That’s what we do: electrical work without the possibility of electrocution.
Here’s what we need baseline:
Experience with power tools: roto-hammer, hole saw, etc. If the term ‘handy’ applies to you, then we’re interested.
Experience in construction environments.
Physical capacity. I won’t sugar coat it: this job involves a lot of sweat and a lot of toil. It’s not back-breaking, but it’ll keep you in shape.
Reliable transportation. You’ll be going all across the Bay Area, so make sure you can get there. We’ll work with you but only within reason.
Most everyone should be able to fill the above. You manage that but nothing else and we’ll pay $25.00 / hr with room for growth. To earn more we need the following:
Experience building out data racks and rack hardware.
Experience with datacom cable installation, wire terminations, and C-7 best practices.
Capability of (safely) coordinating multiple lower-level technicians on a chaotic job site.
Experience with low voltage products: access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, IT hardware, etc.
Owns their own tools and personal protective equipment.
The more of those boxes you check the higher your wage. We go up to $35.00 / hr baseline and do a lot of prevailing wage work.
We’re not going to make this process complicated: submit your resume to [email protected] by email. Include in the body of the email a one paragraph description of what you hope to get out of this job. Money is an acceptable answer. We’re looking for honesty, not corporate speak.
