Description About the Role:Robert Half is partnering with a prominent federal contractor seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a long-term contract, with potential to transition to a permanent down the road. This hybrid position offers flexibility, with an in-office period for initial training and ramp-up, followed by a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate will bring experience in handling high volumes of invoices, vendor relationships, and expense management through Concur. Invoice Processing: Manage and process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
Expense Reporting via Concur: Utilize Concur to manage and track employee expenses, process reimbursements, and ensure expense reports are completed in accordance with company policies.
Vendor Account Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts, addressing discrepancies and ensuring timely payments.
Payment Runs and General Ledger Posting: Prepare regular payment runs and post entries to the general ledger accurately.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy for internal reviews.
Month-End and Year-End Support: Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes, assisting with account reconciliations and accruals.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the finance and procurement teams to ensure smooth AP operations and resolve issues as they arise.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment handling high-volume transactions.
Concur Proficiency: Solid experience with Concur for expense report management and reimbursement processing.
ERP Skills: Familiarity with major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Detail-Oriented and Organized: Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
