Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS industry, located in San Diego, California. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will work with a large team, managing and processing invoices, utilizing accounting software, and communicating with vendors.This Accounts Payables Specialist will be supporting with a long-term leave of absence. You will be doing full-cycle accounting with a large accounting team in San Ysidro. This is an on-site position in San Ysidro. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of invoice processing, including matching, coding, and batching (approx. 150 invoices per week) Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains and Excel for reconciliations, report downloads, and statement comparisons Communicate with vendors to address discrepancies and ensure timely processing of payments Post and reconcile accounts payable entries to the General Ledger with a keen eye for accuracy and detail Prepare weekly check runs, managing both manual and automated check processes for a variety of vendors Handle employee reimbursements and support the transition to Time & Expense systems Collaborate with a large AP team, providing essential support and helping to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting Ability to manage all Accounting Functions Experience with Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and Concur Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Auditing procedures Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively Good team player with the ability to work independently when required.
