We are a small PI firm in Seattle handling a high-volume of cases. We currently have three attorneys and two paralegals. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, optimistic, and seasoned individual with prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal to join our team. Our workplace thrives on collaboration, and we are seeking someone who excels in such an atmosphere. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in handling personal injury cases.

The responsibilities and/or experience requirements for this role include, but are not limited to:

-Procuring medical records and bills

-Demonstrated experience in pre-litigation or litigation contexts within personal injury law

-Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

-Writing demand letters

-Reviewing and condensing medical records and billings into narrative summaries

-Requesting public records

-Occasionally handling phone calls

-Filing and e-filing in state and federal courts

-Documenting client injuries, damages, and other losses

-Managing medical liens and subrogation matters

-Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through semi-regular communication

-Corresponding with medical providers, insurance adjusters, etc.

-Calendaring deadlines, events, depositions, etc.

-Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness

-Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

-Review and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documents are included

The role demands efficiency and precision. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities, along with keen attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a collaborative mindset. While we prefer a minimum of 5 years of experience, we require a minimum of 2 years, including full case management experience from initiation to resolution.
