Personal Injury Paralegal (Puyallup)
General practice law firm is in need of a professional and efficient personal injury legal assistant/paralegal. Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (though open to alternative schedule). Candidates must have paralegal/legal assistant experience in personal injury, specifically motor vehicle cases.
Duties include: Ordering medical records, preparing demands for motor vehicle claims, identifying and confirming liens, working with Medicare, drafting pleadings, letters, demands and other legal documents, e-filing and preparing working copies for court, interaction with firm clients, opposing attorneys, and court staff, maintaining legal files and records, case management, calendaring critical litigation dates, completing medical chronologies.
Location: Puyallup, WA
Education:
· High school or equivalent (required)
· Paralegal/Legal Assistant degree (preferred).
· Post high school education (preferred)
Experience:
· Microsoft Office: 1 year (required)
· Familiarity with Pierce County Linx
· Paralegal: 1 year (Preferred)
