Description Work as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals through this opportunity offered by Robert Half!Attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department, this role works closely with and reports to the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Ability to manage a heavy flow of data entry with a high level attention to detail needed. This is an onsite position in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area, and will be a long-term contract to permanent opening.Key responsibilities
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Complete full-cycle A/P
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Adeptness in Ad Hoc Reporting
High-Volume Data Entry experience
Proficiency in numeric data entry
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
