Job Summary

The Development Coordinator serves a critical role in the organization by supporting the Development team with fundraising coordination, event planning, and assisting with donor cultivation efforts while working out of the Vancouver office.

Summary of essential job functions:

Cultivate and grow donor relationships with individuals, organizations and foundations

Assist Dev. Director and Exec. Director in raising $200,000 through personal asks, events and grants

Produce fundraising reports and analytics for Leadership and Development Team

Attend outreach and community events as needed and outlined in the strategic plan

Oversee special projects as related to community engagement, volunteers and outreach in Vancouver

Assist Vancouver staff as needed. Sales floor in Hope Furnishings (retail) and Furniture Bank clients with the goal of promoting and connecting NWFB to the community

Maintain donor database software (Little Green Light and Salesforce), continually updating records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, and generating reports.

Process donations and generate timely acknowledgements for all gifts

Plan and coordinate fund-raising and stewardship events in alignment with organizational goals, including creating innovative new development opportunities

Assist with grant process to include grant reports, submission deadlines, rejections and annual grant calendar

Steward communications calendar and facilitate action items, as needed. Support various communications initiatives by: cataloging story pipeline, archiving photos, collecting media consent forms, and more

Sourcing and posting of social media content. Responsible to find the stories, pictures and any additional content that is published. Collaboration with NWFB entities on a daily/weekly basis a must

Collaborate/communicate interdepartmentally as needed

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to build relationships and work with volunteers, staff, clients and the community

· Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds

· Ability to work independently and on a team

· Proficient in Excel, Word, data reporting, Constant Contact, Adobe and other design platforms

Education and Experience:

BA/BS and/or experience in development work a plus

Physical Requirements:

Vancouver is the focus, but the candidate must be willing to travel and work in Tacoma as needed

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Prolonged periods of time on your feet

Able to lift 50lbs
