Description We are in search of an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in the thriving industry of Real Estate Asset Management, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be providing vital accounting support to various teams, gaining valuable exposure to property accounting and commercial real estate investments. This role offers an invaluable opportunity to learn from experienced real estate professionals in a highly visible and inclusive setting.Responsibilities: Approve property operations workflow to facilitate the payment of invoices and ensure accurate general ledger coding Perform monthly bank reconciliations and handle technical transactions Ensure timely and accurate monthly accruals for a portfolio of investments and perform related financial analysis, including balance sheet classification Collaborate with lease administration team to ensure property lease set up and assist with budget to actual variance commentary on rental income Work with the Asset Management and Property Management teams to review accounts receivable detail and to ensure all income is billed in accordance with lease terms Gain exposure to percentage rent, and annual reconciliations of recovery items Partner with the Investment Accounting leadership team and Asset Management team members on the budgeting and reforecasting process for all properties Utilize accounting software such as Yardi and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data Ensure compliance with GAAP and US GAAP in all accounting procedures Gain proficiency in Property Accounting and Real Estate Accounting through daily tasks and mentoring opportunities.Requirements Possess knowledge and understanding of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP. Familiarity with Real Estate Accounting and Property Accounting. Proficiency in using Yardi software is a plus. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial analysis. Open to graduates or individuals with equivalent work experience. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis. Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting practices and software. High level of integrity and professional ethics.
