A PreK through 12 Independent school in Greenwich, CT seeks a skilled Technical Support Specialist, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a technology infused environment, providing Tier I and II support to our learning community and our 1:1 device program. The position reports to the Director of Technology.

Note: In-depth knowledge and experience supporting macOS and iOS platforms required

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ Mac-centric helpdesk experience, preferably in a K-12 school setting.

Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) certification required.

Solid experience in troubleshooting and supporting all current macOS and iOS versions.

Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Office, and Adobe applications preferred.

Triage problems, provide technical explanations, and recommend solutions to users.

Manage software and hardware inventory, licensing, and warranty tracking.

Requires superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, especially with non-technical users.

Exceptionally self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.

Role Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist is a key point of contact for IT related incidents and service requests, providing Tier I and II support to students, faculty and staff – over the phone, via email, and in-person - speedily resolving support requests to the user's satisfaction, amid continuous service delivery demands. The TSS, along with the tech team, is responsible for the lifecycle management of 800+ Macs and iPads along with 50 desktops running Windows 10 as well as 80+ printers and copiers; troubleshooting basic network connectivity, printing issues, and software applications in an integrated (Mac and PC) environment.
