Office Assistant needed for upcoming busy season in fast paced Custom Cookie Bakery office in Tribeca.
Applicant must be fluent in English and be able to answer Emails with detailed explanations.
Must be detail aware and be focused on tasks to avoid errors on orders.
Must be able to communicate by email with several clients at once over several email addresses while multitasking getting shipping costs and arranging for delivery / pick ups, etc. and answering client questions and concerns.
We are willing to train as this is a food specific business.
A knowledge of the following will be helpful:
-Microsoft Word - Spreadsheets
-Invoicing
-FedEx Shipping Software and generating FedEx Labels
-Bank reconciliations from a statement
-Communication with staff on site
-Packing Boxes to be shipped
-Timely daily arrival
Position is Freelance Mon - Friday most weeks. Pay is commensurate with experience, willingness to learn and become proficient.
This is a non cell phone environment while working. If you need to be on your cell phone all day please do not apply for this position.
Cell phones can be close, but not interacted with until lunch or a personal break.
We work in a beautiful airy loft in Tribeca conveniently located near every subway line. It is warm in the winter and air conditioned in warm weather.
Hours vary but are mostly 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Holiday Season may require some weekend work.
This is mainly a fun atmosphere where we create beautiful things for clients and the work is never boring.
