In this role, the assistant is responsible for aiding in the collaborative development, management, and evaluation of The Centers within the Division of Student & Campus Life, serving a campus community of 24,000 students.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for The Centers, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for visitors.Provide direct administrative support to professional staff and programs within The Centers.Supervise student front desk workers, overseeing hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure adequate building coverage.Coordinate day-to-day operations, including providing event and logistical support.Order supplies and equipment necessary for The Centers' activities and initiatives.Maintain communications related to The Centers' activities and programs.Support logistics for first-generation and low-income initiatives, such as Swipe Out Hunger.What We NeedHigh School Diploma with 2 to 4 years of relevant office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Direct experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Passion for working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and wellbeing.Previous experience in the supervision or scheduling of staff.Strong ability to work independently, efficiently, and collaboratively as part of a team on various projects and assignments.Fluency in office software and web-based platforms, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Box, Zoom, Teams, Campus Groups, and Doodle; familiarity with conduct software is a plus.Flexibility to occasionally work nights and weekends as required by the role.If you have all those things, great!
