Tenure-Track Assistant Professor - School of Applied and Engineering Physics The School of Applied and Engineering Physics (AEP) at Cornell University seeks applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor. We especially encourage applications by members of groups historically underrepresented in AEP and STEM.Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop a highly successful and internationally recognized independent research program and to participate effectively in the teaching of our core physics curriculum at the advanced undergraduate level. Research areas of interest include biophysics and biotechnology, optics and photonics, nanoscience and nanotechnology, novel instrumentation methods, quantum information science and technology, renewable energy, and materials physics. The successful applicant can expect a highly competitive level of support for the start-up of their research program. Considerable institutional resources at Cornell can strengthen this research program and support interdisciplinary and collaborative research ventures. In particular, successful candidates can benefit from association with one or more of Cornell's interdisciplinary research centers, national facilities, and national resources listed at.Typically, postdoctoral experience is considered to be essential for Assistant Professor applicants.
