The incumbent acts as the budget advisor for their assigned budget accounts. Clients are primarily Department of Administration agencies, elected officials, and other small state entities that do not have their own fiscal staff. The incumbent provides expertise and fiscal guidance to agencies. They perform budget analysis, budget oversight, prepare budget projections, assist agencies with strategic planning, develop biennial budgets including input and revision to the Nevada Executive Budget System, and manage budgets throughout the biennium. Additionally, they may complete federal grant reports and quarterly draws according to federal guidelines, and complete year end Single Audit Reporting Forms within assigned timeframes.
