Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.Under direction, Personnel Analyst Is perform entry level professional personnel work as described in the series concept in one or more functional areas in Human Resource Management or a State agency. This position is for a Personnel Analyst 1 underfilling the Personnel Analyst 2 and will be located at the Department of Transportation in Carson City, within the Human Resources Division. With general direction, the position's role is that of an internal investigator. The position is responsible for creating investigation questions, conducting interviews, writing reports, and collaborating with various teams within NDOT regarding employee relations issues. The incumbent will work closely with all levels of employees and management. This incumbent will be responsible for initiating Administrative Internal Investigations within State laws, regulations, rules and policies related to personnel management.
