Please refer to the link for more information: https://gov.nv.gov/Newsroom/ExecOrders/Executive-Orders/ Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently and may provide work direction and training to others.The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking a Laundry Worker for the Nevada Youth Training Center (NYTC), a 64-bed staff secure facility for male and female youth ages 12 to 18 in Elko, NV. Duties include but are not limited to wash, dry, fold and/or press linens and clothing items in an institutional setting; sort items by type, color, and material; Perform visual inspection of all washed/dried items for wear and tear; may mend items or send them out for repair or replacement as needed; Perform routine inspections and clean filters and drain traps as needed to ensure equipment is in proper operating condition; report malfunctions to supervisor and/or maintenance personnel. Incumbents also maintain routine records of laundry washed and laundry supplies used; prepare supply orders for clothing and laundry supplies; Maintain required logs of work completed, inventory and supplies used; complete required forms and prepare routine reports as needed, and perform additional duties as assigned.
