Engineering Manager - The Village at Northstar

Take advantage of our $1,000 Recreation Reimbursement benefit! The Village at Northstar, managed by East West Hospitality, is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Engineering Manager. This role is responsible for establishing and managing departmental standards and procedures for property management and HOA services. Additionally, this position oversees all HOA project management and coordinating EWH personnel and vendors in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, equipment, and the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and utility systems for properties under EWH management in Northstar. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless operations and maintain the highest standards of excellence across all managed properties.

Duties Include:

-Staff Management: Comprehensive leadership and coordination of the maintenance team, ensuring high standards, continuous improvement, effective communication, HR management, payroll processing, safety compliance, and staff development.

-Residential Property Management: Oversee and verify maintenance work, manage Rental/Homecare programs, ensure departmental coordination, conduct spot inspections, and assist in coordinating service vendors and follow-up.

-Homeowner Association Management: Oversee implementation of CAM inspections and HOA projects, ensure code adherence, assist in project management and contract negotiations, and coordinate departmental activities.

-Administration: Collaborate on mechanical, safety, and alarm systems, direct utility maintenance and energy management, oversee inventory control, post work orders, and edit statements.

-Budget: Partner with VP of Operations and Controller for preparation, operate within budget guidelines, and maximize departmental billable hours.

-Communication: Facilitate interdepartmental communication, attend meetings regularly, manage MOD program, and maintain vendor and partner relationships.

Location: The Village at Northstar

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: $82,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time role (schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays)

Successful candidates have/are:

-Prior supervisory experience required.

-Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or university, or equivalent education and experience.

-At least three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-Experience in common interest developments preferred.

-Must possess a valid California or Nevada driver’s license.
