LOCATION: Ann Arbor DURATION: 2 Years INTERVIEW PROCESS: Video Call SHIFT: these specific roles are 1st shift with some evening, early morning, weekend work on an as needed basis TOP 3 Skills that need to be highlighted/Notes from Manager: • Network Deployment Project experience • Project Coordination Summary/Objective In order to accelerate the work and meet the deadline, the Vice President for Network Technology and Innovation will supervise the scheduling of equipment receipt and deployment, network downtime for the ninety-nine installation sites. The position will require on-call availability, working during non-business hours and/or weekends, some overtime, and occasional overnight and weekend travel. Responsibilities Essential functions for this position are followed by an (E). As a Network Operations Field Coordinator, this position's key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Techs with scheduling, planning, and communicating work being performed in the field (E) • Communicate to the Project Manager updates to project timelines and operational needs for the Team (E) • Assist in tracking Install and maintain network routers, switches, optical transport equipment. (E) • Assist in tracking technical support in commissioning, installing, testing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. (E) • When necessary, escalate incidents with vendors to resolve issues relating to service performance, functionality, and availability. (E) • Responsible for assisting with asset tracking and database updates. (E) • Deliver a highly customer focused service to members, external and internal customers, and staff to exceed their expectations both in technical resolution and customer service. Be able to see issues from the customer's perspective and assess the urgency of requests and respond accordingly. (E) • Provide customer education/assistance and technical support as required. (E) • Assist in Vendor coordination • Track the Testing, repair and provision of telecommunication and fiber circuits. (E) • Participate in network engineering planning and change review teams. (E) • Ensure all business owners and stakeholders are aware of and support proposed changes to the system. (E) • Assist in managing the network engineering project to assure outcomes are consistent with expectations. • Assist in developing project plans, task lists, timelines, deployment plans and rollback procedures.
