Job Family: ManufacturingReq ID: 424171The new Siemens Mobility facility in Lexington, NC, will be the first to offer maintenance services on a 200-acre site, allowing for future expansion. Building on some of the latest technologies in our Sacramento rolling stock and rail services factories, the new facility will include robotic welding, 3D printing, Virtual Reality weld training, and software tools to enhance our manufacturing process. We're excited to bring this new venture to the East Coast, and we'd love to have you join our team!As a Maintenance Technician - Mechanical, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high-energy maintenance department supporting reliability and repair of production assets for manufacturing of the best rail vehicles in the world.What we are offeringFull-time position11 paid holidays, 18 days PTO401K – 6% company matchMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceTuition reimbursementWhat you will be doing

Provide hands-on preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of complex manufacturing equipment such as: welding robots, CNC machines, hydraulic presses, remote-controlled equipment movers, lifting jacks, cranes, motors, pumps, and other industrial equipment.

Analyze technical equipment problems on-site and complete repairs and maintenance.

Complete set-up and start-up of new equipment

Conduct routine scheduled preventive maintenance activities.

Maintain accuracy of spare parts inventory.

Support maintenance of user documentation for processes and equipment.

Safely use hand and power tools.

Certification for the use of some tools and equipment may be required, such as cranes, forklifts and fall protection equipment.

Complete work order documentation, quality documents, and accurately clock labor hours.

Meet company standards for quality and workmanship

Meet production schedule, quality requirements, and budgeted labor hours with limited supervision.

Explain assembly procedures and techniques to fellow workers.

Follow all safety requirements, including the use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Contribute to and maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

What you need to be successful

3-5 years experience in the repair of mechanical industrial equipment and systems.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop drawings, hydraulic diagrams, P&IDs, and blueprints

Experience with basic electrical systems

Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Ability to solve mechanical problems or failures.

Basic English skills – theability to read and understand written instructions and optimally communicate verbally.

High school education or GED

We would be impressed if you have

Associate Degree (AS) in a related mechanical or technical field, or vocational training/certification in a related discipline.

Previous experience in maintaining large, sophisticated capital equipment
