Building on some of the latest technologies in our Sacramento rolling stock and rail services factories, the new facility will include robotic welding, 3D printing, Virtual Reality weld training, and software tools to improve our manufacturing process. Are you ready to join us in our new venture?The Manager Warehouse Logistics will lead overall warehouse activities from material receipt to delivery of material to the production floor. The primary mission is to support all production departments with on time, complete material delivery to support overall project quality, delivery, and cost targets.Responsibilities

Ensure safety is the top priority for all employees and managers.

Ensure maximum material availability to production work order start dates.

Increase efficiency on the production floor by communicating material on time to the work order start date, in a ready to use, de-trashed, well-organized, and undamaged state.

Handle all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, put away, cycle counting, picking, kitting consolidation, and delivery of material to the production floor. Complete, timely, and orderly delivery of material to production is of paramount importance.

Develop and drive a comprehensive operations logistics strategy with the support of own logistics industrial engineering team.

Develop, implement, and carry out packaging standards for all suppliers to minimize damage and improve internal material handling.

Increase warehouse efficiency through effective techniques and excellent training.

Ensure available space is used as effectively as possible through appropriate storage devices, racking configuration, and put away strategies.

Maintain appropriate KPIs and demonstrate productivity improvements in all warehouse activities through process improvement and infrastructure enhancements.

Maintain inventory accuracy through sound processes and training, and an effective cycle count program, including identification of root cause issues and implementation of required process improvements.

Forecast future workload requirements and ensure appropriate staffing levels are planned for and attained, and space requirements are understood and planned for.

Develop and present capital expense plans to support future business needs.

Work closely with Order Management and Production Control to lead incoming material volume and work order releases to production.

Ensure all employees are effectively trained in both safety and all operational requirements.

Mentor and develop managers and team members through regular performance dialog and reviews.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field, or equivalent.

A minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience in warehouse management in a large capital equipment, engineer-to-order, project manufacturing environment .

Strong MRP knowledge and experience

Advanced experience with MS Office, particularly Excel.

Capable of developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic approach for all warehouse operations.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Strong background in SAP WM

Lean or Continuous Improvement certification

APICS certification

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC, is $107,500 - $145,500, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.
