Senior Category Manager - MRO, Packaging

As the Senior Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing, you will play a key role in shaping procurement strategies that drive impact across the organization. This is an individual contributor role that focuses on collaboration, innovation, and strategic problem-solving to optimize sourcing for MRO & Secondary Packaging categories, representing approximately $70M in spend.You will partner with stakeholders across all our operating companies to develop and implement sourcing strategies that reduce the total cost of ownership, enhance supplier relationships, and support business objectives. By leveraging strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, you will foster a solutions-oriented approach that benefits the entire organization.Work Environment & Location:Hybrid Work Model – In-office collaboration Tuesday - Thursday.Location: Based in Deerfield, IL, supporting corporate and business teams.What you will be doing: Collaborate with leadership to align sourcing strategies with business goals and priorities.Lead category strategy, fostering partnerships and driving stakeholder engagement.Shape procurement strategy to optimize cost, streamline suppliers, and enhance processes.Deliver measurable value through cost savings, risk reduction, and process improvements.Stay ahead of industry trends to provide insights and drive best practices.Negotiate supplier agreements, balancing risk, legal, and commercial considerations.Utilize data and market insights to enhance sourcing strategies and long-term impact.Ensure compliance with company policies while fostering collaboration across teams.
