POSITION TITLE: Payment Application Clerk
RESPONSIBILITY: This position is responsible for creating customer credits and applying customer payments and recording other cash deposits including filing and storage of records,
DEPARTMENT: Accounting – Accounts Receivables Division
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
HOURS/SCHEDULE: Full-Time,
Monday-Friday Start 9:00am – 5:00pm
DRESS CODE: Casual Attire
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain detail ACH, check, cash and credit card deposits/settlements daily
Make necessary adjustments/credits to invoices.
Research and confirm whereabouts of returned products.
Apply payment appropriately to customers’ accounts.
Communicate skipped invoices or unpaid balances to appropriate sales associate
Balance deposit totals and applied payment totals daily
Assist billing clerk when needed
Answer phone calls and assist in customer and sales inquiries
Other Functions and tasks as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Basic math skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, and Email
Work in fast paced environment
Detail oriented
Bilingual – Spanish & English
Basic computer skills
Exhibit good decision making, problem solver, demonstrate great communication, and organizational skills and detailed-oriented.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift more than 25 lbs
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
