Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our client as an Accounts Payable Clerk. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing all activities in the accounts payable function which includes invoice processing, timely payment of vendors, addressing supplier inquiries, reconciling supplier statements, and managing AP reports.Responsibilities:
Review and verify invoices and check requests
Set up invoices for payment
Enter and upload invoices into system
Prepare and perform check runs
Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
Reconcile accounts payable transactions
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing
Maintain vendor files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with relevant computer software such as SAP/MM/WM/FICO or other enterprise resource planning software.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
