Description Robert Half is actively searching for a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at an innovative company in the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry. Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. Located in Chicago, Illinois, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.How you will make an impact
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Carry out additional projects as required
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Help with internal and external audits as required
Perform full-cycle A/P
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed Requirements - Accounts Payable (AP) experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
