Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in CHICAGO, Illinois. This role involves managing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate data entry, and using various software such as Microsoft Excel and bill.com. You will be a part of our financial services team, working in an office environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable functions.Responsibilities: Process a high volume of invoices in bill.com on a weekly basis Critically review and verify data in bill.com, inputting any missing details as necessary Use NetSuite for various tasks, albeit not directly Execute check runs and code invoices as part of the accounts payable function Maintain detailed and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions Resolve any issues or discrepancies with invoices and accounts payable Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and accurate accounts payable operations Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools for data entry and invoice processing Participate in other tasks and projects related to accounts payable as needed. Requirements Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or a related field Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Check Runs Familiarity with Coding Invoices Demonstrable skills in Data Entry Proficiency in Invoice Processing Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience with bill.com Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be a plus.
