Small General Construction firm who has been in Hawaii for 30 plus years is looking for a Office Manager
This position is a blend of Bookkeeping, light HR and Administrative .Looking to HIRE ASAP
Preferred Qualifications:
BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or Accounting; or combination of relevant work experience
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Minimum 5+ years of combined bookkeeping/ Human Resources/ administrative experience
Notary license a plus
Team player with a problem- solving mindset who demonstrates the highest level of integrity
Strong organizational and time management skills
Depth of knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and best practices
High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to connect easily with others
Previous experiences with Quickbooks online a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Strong personal, written and phone communication skills
High degree of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to quickly learn new technology and software
Flexibility, as hours may vary based on the needs of the company
Physical Demands:
Light to moderate physical effort (ability to lift/ carry up to 40 lbs.)
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects
Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching
Computer work or constant standing for extended periods of time
Frequent standing and sitting throughout the day
Duties:
Essential Functions:
Create routine reports and correspondences that are timely, relevant and accurate
Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
Perform bank account reconciliation
Track expenses and process expense reports
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Prepare bank deposits and make trips to the bank
Provide supporting documentation for audits
Maintain accurate historical records and files
Build and maintain positive relationships with all employees
Oversee administration of HR and benefits issues and ensure adherence to employment laws
Assists in diffusing/ mediating personnel issues in a timely manner
Maintain HR records in accordance with regulation
Process payroll accurately
Assist in daily office needs, keeping the office organized and operating efficiently
Manage the company’s general administrative activities
As directed, interfaces with company attorneys and accountants
Facilitate incoming/ outgoing correspondence
Manage replenishment of office supplies
Able to perform other duties as needed

Office hours are 7 am- 4 pm (or 8 am- 5 pm) Monday through Friday, flex hours available
Great benefits, PTO 18 accrued, up to 30 days after time earned. Nice environment, this person will work alone but will be trained when they first come in.if they start right away.
