We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Chinese-English Bilingual Medical Office Assistant. As a key member of our medical office, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering high-quality service to our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Interaction: Provide friendly and professional assistance to patients in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, and addressing inquiries with empathy and accuracy.

2. Bilingual Support: Facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients who speak languages other than English, ensuring accurate interpretation and translation of medical information.

3. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing patient records, maintaining electronic medical records, and processing insurance claims with attention to detail and confidentiality.

4. Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of healthcare providers' time and optimizing patient flow within the clinic.

5. Billing and Coding Assistance: Support the billing department by verifying insurance coverage, entering billing information, and accurately assigning diagnostic and procedure codes.

6. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory of medical and office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.

7. Adherence to Regulations: Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws, such as HIPAA, to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.

Requirements:

Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) is essential.

Bachelor's degree required.

Prior experience in a medical office setting or customer service role is desirable, but not required.

Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in handling administrative tasks.

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
