Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join their team as a Family Assistant / Personal Assistant based in Lafayette, CA. They are a family with two small children and busy professional lives, this is a newly created role to keep the home and family life running smoothly. This role will primarily involve family assistant and household management duties, with approximately 10-20% of the time dedicated to childcare support. This is a hybrid role, you will start by reporting to the home daily to get to know the family and the priorities, overtime once trust is built, you will work in a hybrid capacity with 2-3 days remote and the rest at the home when needed. There is minimal travel required in this role, but they would prefer someone who can travel with them about once a quarter. Candidates must have a clear driving record and valid driver's license as you will use the family's car for errands and pick ups/drop offs.
Personal/Family Assistant Duties:
- Managing to-do lists, scheduling appointments, and booking travel arrangements
- Handling package deliveries and returns
- Coordinating household projects and renovations
- Organizing events and birthday parties
- Planning and managing family travel itineraries
- Maintaining an organized calendar and assisting with time management
- Liaising with vendors and service providers
- Supporting with household organization and ensuring supplies are stocked
- Managing household staff, including a private chef
- Serving as a point of contact for external contacts and vendors
- Maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all tasks
Childcare Duties:
- Providing childcare support as needed, approximately 10-20% of the time
- Assisting with childcare during school holidays and occasional evenings
- Coordinating babysitters for weekly evening engagements
- Traveling with the family to provide childcare support as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a personal assistant or household management role preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite and computer skills for scheduling and organization
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Salary: $90,000-$120,000
