JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: FACILITY MANAGER
ACCOUNTABILITY: Administrator, Executive Director
This is a supervisory-dual functioning position involving direct child care and supervisory responsibility over staff and clients.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The facility manager is responsible for:
(1) Managing the day-to-day operation of the group home
(2) Ensuring appropriate care and supervision is provided to children in accordance with applicable law, licensing regulations, and the facility’s policies.
(3) Overseeing the planned activities required to be available to children.
(4) Ensuring the general upkeep of the facility.
(5) Reporting to the Administrator and making recommendations to address identified problems.
(6) Any other duties that may be necessary to manage the facility.
(7) Ability to obtain CPR/FIRST AID certification upon beginning employment.
(8) Implement daily therapeutic milieu services, including one to one behavior support, de-escalation, psychosocial groups, and leisure activities.
(9) Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
(10) Adhere to Mandated Reporting laws and procedures
CRITERIA/QUALIFICATIONS
The Facility Manager shall meet one of the following requirements prior to
employment:
(A) Have a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree , OR
(B) Two years of full-time experience, or its equivalent, working with the population to be served, or equivalent education or experience, as determined by CDSS.
1. Experience must be verifiable as having been performed as a paid or volunteer staff person whose duties required direct supervision and care of the population served.
2. Prior to assuming the duties and responsibilities of the facility manager, the individual shall complete a minimum of one hour of training with the Administrator (e.g. the role of Community Care Licensing, Appeal Rights, and How to Maintain Positive Relationships in the Community, working with therapist, police, CASA workers, attorneys, county workers, and the child’s authorized representative and the Placement Unit .
3. The Facility Manager must be at least 21 years of age.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

LICENSE(S):
California driver’s license and ability to be insured by our insurance provider.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII licensing regulations.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The following are required in day-to-day performance of the duties of this position:
Sitting, walking, standing, grasping (simple), and visual/auditory acuity are constantly required (over 2/3 of the workday).
Bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, lifting, reaching and pushing/pulling are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday).
Climbing and crawling are generally not required.
Must successfully pass Professional Assault Crisis Training (ProAct) and ProAct Restraint Certification.
