Position Overview:
The Kitchen Lead will play a critical role in managing the kitchen team, assisting with food prep, and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently during peak hours. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong culinary skills, excellent time management, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Support the chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality food preparation and presentation.
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including prep cooks and dishwashers.
Ensure that food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times.
Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Coordinate food prep to ensure that dishes are prepared on time during peak service hours.
Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise in the kitchen, from ingredient shortages to staffing issues.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Ensure that the kitchen team maintains positive morale and high energy.
