Who We Are: We’re Daytrip Counter! A bold, flavor-maximalist restaurant bringing creative, everyday food to the East Bay. We're building a scalable model that keeps the quality you know and love from Daytrip, but with a more accessible price point and a faster service style. We’re still a new and changing business, and we need a team that's excited to be a part of something special from the ground up!
OPEN JOBS: We’re currently hiring for
- AM Prep/Line Lead (Tu-Sat, 7am-2:30pm)
- PM Line Lead (5 days/week 2:30-9:30pm, including Fri-Sun, and open availability for other days REQUIRED)
Start Date: Mid-to-late August
PAY & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate:
TAKE HOME PAY $32-40/hr (Breakdown: $20-22/hr base rate plus $9-14/hr tips on top). Base rate depends on experience.
Tip Pool: Tips are pooled equally among the team (excluding management), and distributed based on hours worked over a two-week pay period. While it can vary, you can expect an additional $9-14/hr in tips on average.

THE ROLE:
Line/Prep Leads will be responsible for running the line and impeccable execution during peak service, making orders accurately, making prep lists for the team, delegating sidework, providing coaching.
IDEAL CANDIDATES:
- Previous experience on the line required
- Ability to run expo with impeccable execution and speed in a fast-paced restaurant required
- A strong work ethic and eagerness to contribute to a new, growing team.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Fluent in English REQUIRED for any lead cook position
