Summary of Position

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software.The position is located in San Jose, CA and with hybrid office requirements. Candidates who are not in the local area will not be considered.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the following:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

- Perform monthly bank reconciliation

- Process accounts payable transactions

- Prepare and analyze reports and financial statements (e.g. rent roll)

- Update tenant ledgers according to move-out balances

- Assist with payroll processing and tax filings

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:

- Bank account reconciliation

- Accounts receivables/ payables

- Payroll

- Proficiency in accounting software

- Proficiency in property management software (Appfolio) preferred

- Financial concepts

- Accounting principles

- Account reconciliation

Work Environment:

Hybrid (3-4 days in San Jose office)

Business hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
