Summary of Job Details
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Sport Programs, the Sport Programs Coordinator provides leadership, operational oversight, and support for Youth Programs (primarily summer camps), the Intramural Sports Program, and Sport Clubs Program. The position plans, implements, and evaluates a diverse set of youth programs serving the university and local community, as well as a robust intramural program featuring traditional sports, non-traditional sports, and tournaments. The Sport Programs Coordinator recruits, hires, and supervises a large team of student staff, ensures adherence to safety and risk management policies, manages program budgets, and fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
1-3 yrs Strong knowledge of youth program and intramural sports administration, risk management, and industry best practices.
1-3 yrs Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising and training large teams.
1-3 yrs Budget management experience and strong organizational skills.
1-3 yrs Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling/registration software.
Special Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory completion of a criminal history background check.
