This long-term contract / temporary role is for a Collections Specialist who wants to work in the San Diego, California area.Key responsibilities
Process bankruptcy filings in the correct manner when received
Oversee and update customer files to ensure data consistency
Guarantee payments are processed
Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
Register all customer payments to the correct reports
Take care of inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
Comply with all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act
Manage all billing and reporting activities in line with deadlines Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
Command of Collections
Collections experience
Deep understanding of Patient Billing
Microsoft Excel experience highly desired
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
Foundational knowledge in medical billing
Ability to survey and make decisions regarding customer accounts
2+ years of prior high volume collections experience
Strong communication and social skills
