Description We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Medi-Cal Billing Specialist with strong expertise in accounts receivable to join our team on a 6-month contract basis.Position Overview:As a Medi-Cal Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims, maximizing revenue, and minimizing billing errors. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Medi-cal billing processes and a proven track record in managing accounts receivable efficiently.Responsibilities:
Process Medi-Cal claims accurately and in compliance with regulations.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and denials promptly.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing-related issues.
Perform thorough reviews of accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medi-Cal billing regulations and reimbursement policies.
Prepare and submit reports on billing activities and accounts receivable status.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Medi-Cal Billing Specialist with a focus on accounts receivable.
In-depth knowledge of Medi-Cal billing procedures and regulations.
Familiarity with healthcare coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Proficient in using billing and accounting software.
