Description valued client of Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their dynamic team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate policies. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and fostering robust vendor relationships.Key Responsibilities:
Process high volumes of vendor invoices while verifying accuracy, coding, and approvals.
Prepare and process payments (checks, EFTs, wire transfers) in a timely manner.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies effectively.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Maintain vendor files and ensure vendor communications are timely and professional.
Collaborate with the finance team to improve AP systems and workflows for greater accuracy and efficiency.
Generate month-end AP reports and assist with audit preparation.
Requirements
A minimum of 2-4 years in an accounts payable or similar finance-focused role.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field preferred (but not required with equivalent experience).
Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or NetSuite).
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset
