McKennon Law Group PC, a small AV-rated insurance litigation law firm, requires a highly motivated litigation associate in its Newport Beach office to handle insurance litigation matters. Our associates are consistently challenged with sophisticated litigation matters and meaningful opportunities in and out of the courtroom. Candidates must be a member of the California Bar in good standing and should have a minimum of two years of litigation experience. Experience with ERISA and/or insurance litigation/insurance coverage matters is preferred. Strong work ethic, stable work history, oral advocacy, excellent writing, legal research and analytical skills are critically important.
The scope of work will include:
Client intake
Client communications, meet with clients Preparing ERISA appeal letters, demand letters, pleadings, motions/briefs, etc.
Legal research
Court appearances
Court of Appeal arguments
Take depositions and engage in discovery
Assist with trials
