Design Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Los Angeles, CA (In-person, 3 days/week)

Schedule: Approx. 25 hours per week

Pay: $25 -28/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, organized, and resourceful Design Assistant to support our team both in-office and in the field. This is a multifaceted role ideal for someone with a background or strong interest in landscape design, project coordination, and marketing.

Responsibilities

Marketing & Social Media

Develop and schedule social media content (Instagram posts, Stories, Reels, etc.)

Shoot and edit photos and short-form videos of ongoing projects

Help grow our online presence by showcasing our brand and current work

Assist with occasional content writing for posts and newsletters

Project & Office Support

Help prepare proposals and presentations

Attend site meetings to take and synthesize notes

Run errands such as picking up house numbers, materials, and checks

Order and track materials like stone, lighting, hardware, etc.

Assist with procurement and vendor coordination

Conduct on-site check-ins and take progress photos

Help keep design studio organized and stocked with supplies

Ideal Candidate

Highly organized and dependable with a positive, can-do attitude

Strong visual eye and creative sensibility for design and content

Confident communicator, comfortable attending site meetings

Experience with social media marketing and basic photo/video editing (Canva, InShot, Adobe tools, or similar)

Interest in or familiarity with landscape materials and design a plus

Owns a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)

Comfortable working independently and managing time across varied tasks
