We are a Southern California based Real Estate Management and Investment Company looking for a hardworking and motivated individual. The candidate must be reliable for a full-time accounting assistant position.
Job Description:
-Responsible for general accounting activities
-Record rent payments and other accounts receivable
-Enter invoices and submit to supervisors for check run review
-Issue checks and deliver to appropriate personnel for signatures
-Prepare journal entries to record miscellaneous transactions/adjustments
-Reconcile bank accounts on a weekly and monthly basis
-Responsible for weekly cash management
-Prepare quarterly financial statements and yearly 1099 processing
-Compile necessary documents for tax purposes
-Assist with completing special projects when needed
Working Hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred but not required.
-0-3 years of Real Estate accounting experience is a plus.
-Good organization skills – ability to set priorities, multiple tasks, meet deadlines, & maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
-Detail oriented
-Must have good reading comprehension and analytical skills
-Must be able to communicate well with all levels of personnel – written and oral
-Ability to work effectively within a team environment and unsupervised
-Computer proficiency – knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
