We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll department by ensuring accurate processing of payroll data and maintaining employee records. This position requires proficiency in payroll software and an understanding of payroll regulations and tax implications. The Payroll Assistant will work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless operations.
Work Schedule
Monday-Thursday 9:00am-5:30pm
Friday 9:00am-1:00pm
Duties:
-Process weekly payroll for employees.
-Analyze payroll data for discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
-Assist with tax-related tasks, including filing and reporting as required.
-Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions.
-Support accounts receivable functions as needed, ensuring timely collection of payments.
-Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
-Collaborate with HR to address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
Requirements:
-Previous experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role is preferred (1 year minimum).
-Proficiency in payroll software such as QuickBooks is highly desirable.
-Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
-Familiarity with tax regulations and 2025 Labor Law compliance related to payroll processing.
-Experience with payroll systems for maintaining employee records.
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
-Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and other departments.
