Local Aerospace machine shop in the Tempe with highly rated intern program looking to hire part time entry level position/Intern. Qualified candidate should have interest in Manufacturing or Engineering career.
Ideal internship is 4+ years. Job description includes:
Year 1 - Shop clean up, organization and maintenance. Assistances with machine operations setup and removal. Parts handling packaging and shipments. Part cleaning and marking. Run errands when needed. Assistance with QA tasks. Receiving parts and supplies.
Year 2 - Training provided in areas of Inspection, calibration of tools. Aerospace standards modifying work instructions. Procedure changes for improvement.
Year 3 - Machine CNC operation and programming. Design of fixtures and 3d printing.
Year 4 - First article inspection. Release product to customer. Build on past skills.
Manufacturing courses a plus. Must be available to work weekends. Must have reliably transportation.
Previous Interns that completed this program have gone on to OEM Engineering firms like Boeing, Honeywell, General Dynamics, and Northrup. Manufacturing positions or continued to work in our challenging facility.
