Gorman & Company is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to work with our team at several of our properties in Racine, WI. As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

-Satisfy service requests such as light electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC/PTAC maintenance, etc.

-Prepare apartments for turnover, may include painting, appliance repair/replacement, plumbing, lock changes, etc.

-Manage curb appeal by inspecting grounds and buildings.

-Assist with snow removal if needed.

-Complete on-call emergency maintenance.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

-Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

-Previous maintenance experience required.

Mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing a variety of items such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, standard appliances and pool maintenance (if applicable).

-Must be able to read work orders / service requests.

-Good safety habits.

-Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
